Representing the thrive of craftsmanship and design with a most personal selection of fascinating and intriguing pieces. With a rapidly growing collection, it’s clear that Boris’s aesthetic presents itself in a mixture of styles, hand-selected pieces with highlights in fields of fashion, architecture, art & design.
Opening Saturday 23.01.2021 in the Goldwood Shop, Arenbergstraat 2 , 2000 Antwerp. What was Dutch & Belgian modernism? What does it mean to us today, at this point in time, standing at the edge of a pandemic that shook the world order in much the same way as the First World War did when modernism first emerged? And what might be the connection between those two? These questions lie at the core of the current exhibition, De Klare Lijn.
The Camaleonda design became famous almost immediately after it was featured in the exhibition 'Italy and the new domestic landscape' held in the MoMA museum in 1972. Goldwood’s connection with the design is very personal and goes further than the surface. Goldwood started in 2008 and since then we have become experts in selling the precious Camaleonda sofa. Mario Bellini, quickly become our more featured designer.
